I’ve always been fascinated with ancient art and antiquities. Growing up, I’ve never lost that child-like curiosity when it comes to ancient civilization. I am fascinated by their societies, their culture, their history and their art. 

I have been lucky enough to have visited the MET in NYC many, many times. As I’ve gotten older, it has had a more profound impact on me every time I’ve visited. There is something deeply moving about mankind’s innate need to create things not only out of usefulness, but out of expression. 

Last year, I took a nervous plunge and bought a small sculpture — some of you may remember it. I continue to search out and make small purchases for now (albeit ‘small’ in the antiquities world isn’t very small at all when it comes to dollar amounts!). Hopefully, one day, it would be nice to have a small collection worth donating somewhere. It would be lovely to be able to contribute something like that. 

Anyway, here are a few things I’ve had my eyes on.
