Yesterday I had the opportunity to take a look through a collection of records from a gentleman who had been collecting since the mid 1960’s…incredible. I picked out a bunch that stood out to me. Some of them had covers in pretty rough shape, but all of the LPs were stellar — vg+ to nm condition. Just the small bit I pulled out ended up coming to over 40 records. He sold them to me for 30 dollars. THIRTY DOLLARS. After cleaning and researching each and every one, those 40 records are worth upward of $1500. SUCCESS. Even better, he said in about a week or two he’ll have the rest of his jazz unpacked — some of his oldest and rarest stuff — and to get back in contact then. YOU BET. I’m posting images of all of the covers, but its going to take a few posts.
